Today the scale is kicking me in the teeth! The past two days I have eaten less and worked out harder and this morning I have gained? I know this is one of the drawbacks of weighing everyday--natural fluctuations, blah, blah, blah. . . still, I am irritated by this. However, I know I am doing well and doing right by me, so no worries. Tomorrow might bring a significant drop, who knows? Maybe my scale needs new batteries. Whatever, moving on and ready for another day of getting it right!

Bought a Bodymedia FIT Core armband on Saturday and I am more motivated than ever to get this healthy thing done right. I checked out the fitbit cuz I saw the ad over here on the side of my fs, but ultimately I went with instant gratification and a super sale price at Costco. For me, buying off the shelf beats waiting for the mail everytime. ANYWAY this little gadget tracks my actual calorie burn--how much I've burned and how much I have left to do for the day. It is really cool. I am much better with concrete numbers than estimates. I feel like I have gained a competitive edge with this little gadget. I am pumped to see real data in real time and to beat my goals--daily and otherwise. Today I am grateful for my 13-year-old daughter who jokingly volunteered to Zumba with me--she didn't think I would take her up on it, but I did! It was great!!!

I almost jumped for joy this morning! Down to 233 and I am so excited! This is where I got to a couple of years back when I lost 30 pounds, and then I stopped doing what was working because. . .well, cuz I'd lost 30 pounds, bought some new clothes and I was feeling good. Today I hit this mark and I know it is not the end of my journey. It didn't even take that long to get here (especially considering the 12 days I spent hovered around 239-240 in the middle of January. I feel like I am just beginning to settle in to these new habits. I am not bored or frustrated yet, I am motivated--no, I am PUMPED!!!! YAY me!

Ate more than usual at breakfast this morning, darn breakfast buffet! LOL. Still doing well today. Going out for a walk later. Enjoying life!

A first for me--i m out of town and i still logged all my food including the complimentary cookies at the hotel, still came in just under my RDI, AND i worked out in the hotel fitness room! It was a good day!
