My legs are sore, but in a good way. Did some lunges and jumping jacks as part of a mini-challenge and I am feeling those long-neglected muscles coming back to life! Every bit of soreness just reminds me that I am doing the right thing.

Back to work and feeling good. Got organized and caught up in recording workouts and mini-challenge progress. Bring on the day!!!

I did this journal entry once already, but it got lost or I didn't save it? Had a low-level cheat day. Only went few hundred calories over my RDI and made relatively good choices. Only real indulgence was the TWO pieces of french bread with butter that I had with my spaghetti dinner (YUMMY)!!!
Bought a mini-planner to help keep track of mini-challenges and record workouts. I am excited to put it to use. Looking forward to an intentional workout tomorrow. If it's nice, I will take my crazy dog to the park--he is suffering from winterized apartment fever. He keeps trying to bolt out the door everytime I open it. He's also figured out how to "ask" to be let out even when he doesn't have any "business" to do.
Hit 235 today which means I am down 12 pounds since the first of the year. I feel like I am really adjusting to this new way of eating and recording and all of it. Still, there are days when it would be easy just to forget the whole thing. I keep reminding myself not to quit on myself. I can do this.

Against the odds today, I did workout. Head is still stuffy from being sick, ate a big lunch and then just wanted to take a nap, but I didn't! I followed through with my intention to workout. Went walking at the park with my daughters and our dog. It was a little bit windy, but after the first 1/2 mile, I was warm enough to keep going. Did 1.5 miles--I love it when parks have distance markers to help me keep track of how far I have gone. I also used my stop watch to help keep my pace up. I know we might get more snow this weekend, but at least for today there was a promise of Spring in the air.
