So, I haven't been recording my activity on here as of late, but I think I should, so now I am. (Exciting sentence, eh?)
The bulk of this exercise will be "brisk" or "exercise" walking. I am a quick walker and enjoy walking, so I should be able to keep it up. Occasionally, I might do a water workout (running in the water--like treading water), actual running, snowshoeing, or tennis or something.
I walked the library loop--up Nemoke Trail, across Marsh, up Franklin, right on Hallendale, etc. I even stopped by the library to pick up some bedtime reading (a Thursday Next book).
The walk felt good, but I forgot how much harder it is to walk in a bunch of snow. I'm so glad that I bought those boots! Now my feet don't get wet and cold when I'm walking :)
So, anyhow, today was good, and I hope to walk for an hour or so almost every day.
The little beagle on the corner of Franklin Hallendale howled at me :)

I know that I just weighed in yesterday, but I thought as some sort of experiment that I would weigh myself several days in a row (but not Sunday because I will be out of town) to see how much my weight fluctuates. I probably won't learn anything.
But, hey, this morning I am 1.4 lbs lighter than yesterday morning. Tomorrow I'll likely be back at 185.

Losing 4.4 kg a Week
07 January 2010
Okay--so I've been avoiding the scale. I knew that I would do bad things over the holidays, especially when staying with family. I resisted temptation more than usual but still ended up eating more than my fair share of date balls, chocolate kiss peanut butter cookies, Chex Mix, and the like. I drank too much as well. But, I have been avoiding beer and drinking wine instead.
Anyway, it seems that in the two weeks I have avoided the scale, I have gained 2 lbs. Average weight gain for Americans over the holiday season is 10 lbs, so I didn't fair that badly.
I need to get serious about exercise and keep better track of what I am eating. I'd REALLY like to lose at least 10 lbs before the wedding (and 15 if possible).
RESOLUTIONS for 2010
1. Keep track of what I eat.
2. Eat more fruits and vegetables.
3. Drink less. Limit of drinks twice a week.
4. Put honey/sugar in my tea less often.
5. Walk AT LEAST 4 days a week for at least 30 minutes time.
6. Continue to weigh myself on weekly basis.
7. Plan my meals (especially dinner) in advance.

Gaining 0.2 kg a Week
17 December 2009
All right, I need to start getting serious again. This week, which is finals week, and last week, which was the last week of the regular semester, have been stressful and food preparation and watching what I eat have been more difficult to do.
Worst things I did:
--take out Mexican food on Wednesday
--Homemade pizza on Thursday
--went out to eat on Friday (but I had salmon and veggies!)
--Whiskey and cokes on Friday
--snacked on chocolate from coworkers
What I have still been doing well,
--drinking lots of water
--avoiding alcohol (with the exception of Friday)

I was a little bad again--holiday party! There were cookies, cake, cupcakes, ham, Texas caviar, wine, and beer. I partook of the wine, cake, and a cupcake. I made cookies the day before--sampled the batter and a cookie. I have been trying to be good the rest of the week, but have ended up having one cookie/piece of cake a day.
