I've been behaving a little better (but still not the best). I have been eating out MUCH less, but I recently took a week-long comprehensive exam, so I wasn't necessarily eating very well that week. Far too many comfort foods. I did purchase the EatingWell Comfort Foods cookbook that cuts some corners on these dishes making them a bit more healthy, and I think that has helped. I am still drinking more than I should. I been walking somewhat regularly, but the weather has been unbearable for a few days now, so outdoor activity has been a bit limited.
I'm going to try to keep up this trend. Hopefully I can make it to 180 by August (or at least mid-August) and 175 by October. That seems like a reasonable goal, right?

Well, I've been away for awhile. And, in that time, I gained a bunch of weight. 6 lbs, it appears. Here are my excuses:
Early May--Finals week
Mid May--Wedding & Honeymoon
Late May--WAC Conference & Memorial Day Weekend
There was lots of drinking and lots of eating out. I thought I was behaving myself this week, with the exception of Memorial Day, so I was hoping to drop weight from last week's weight (I didn't report it, but it was the same as this week's).
So, the plan is to stop eating out, eat more healthily (we got a few EatingWell cookbooks for the wedding), and reduce my alcohol consumption.
Yesterday, we had reasonable dinner and I walked 7 miles.

I did a lot better this week. No eating out and just a few sweets--at my bridal shower and then some wine on Thursday. And, I kept up the walking. Could have been better, but not bad.

I'm not really sure if I ate more poorly than I have been, but the weight is going up. I'm undoing all of the work I did over the fall. Ugh.
On the brighter side, I have been doing a substantial amount of walking--around an hour or two hours (!) every day.

Slight gain. Not bad considering that I was gone at a conference for a week and ate out for all my meals and then came home and was stressed about catching up with work and eating doughnut-holes and such instead of preparing real meals.
