Another pound off for the week. I guess it could have been more had I not indulged in a rather nice Chinese takeaway yesterday to "celebrate" the start of the bank holiday weekend!
Still following the Zig-Zag Diet, which is working very well at present. Would like to get to 160 lbs by next Saturday, but not desperate.
Have a great BH, folks!

For the last 2 or 3 months my weight has remained at around 170 pounds, suggesting I've reached the dreaded plateau.
However, since late July I have tried the "Zig Zag Diet", and after some trial & error, I have finally started to lose some significant weight at last.
Ever since my last official weigh-in last Saturday morning, at 168 lbs, I have gone on to lose a further 3 pounds. This morning I weighed in at 165 lbs (my target weight). However I don't count that as an "official" weigh-in until next Saturday. But at least I am seeing some movement at last!
For those in a similar plateau boat, you really should check out the ZZD!

As mentioned in my last journal, I bought a new bathroom scale, with bluetooth capabilities earlier last week. But was surprised to find a constant weight differentiation of around 2 lbs between the scales I have used previously to these.
Now that I will be using the new scales for my weight recordings I have "put on" 2 pounds over the previous week. Not too discouraged because I have a mine of information on my app that will hopefully get me through this annoying plateau over the next month or two.

I bought one of these today, purely because it gives far more body composition measurements compared to standard bathroom scales, including things like BMR, BMI, Body Fat, Body Water, Visceral Fat, Muscle Mass, Metabolic Age and a few other measurements.
I have no idea if these measurements are 100% accurate, but they do act as a rough guide. The only annoyance is that I weigh 3 pounds more on these scales compared to my usual scales. And there lies my dilemma - which one to believe and subsequently use?

3rd week on the bounce more or less at 170 pounds: I think I have finally reached the dreaded plateau! Have done some research online and I think I know why.
My average daily calorie intake is around 1600 (85% of current RDI)
My average daily calorie output is around 2800
BMI is good-ish at 25.1
However, my RMR is around 1580
My TDEE is around 2460
Therefore, I am barely eating enough to keep my RMR in check. So my metabolism has slowed right down and hence the plateau.
So will upscale my RDI from 1800 to 2000,
Ramp up my calorie intake to around 1950,
Move onto the Zig-Zag Diet,
Do more cardio and strength resistance,
Hopefully that may bump up my RMR/BMR, and thus should see some more weight-loss again. (Frustrating since I'm only 5 pounds away from next target!)
(I think I am turning into a nerd with all these stats :))
