Nice to be in the 150s zone after weeks stuck in the 160s.
Of course with Christmas and New Year just 12 weeks away there's talk of stocking up with all the usual festive jollities, including mince pies, cream, ice cream, chocolates, crisps, booze, booze and more booze. And historically that's when I start putting the pounds.
However, in the words of Baldrick, "I have a cunning plan!"
Lose a few more pounds between now and then, indulge in 2 weeks of festivities, take a deep breath when I step on the scales January 2nd, and just hope I've managed to stay within my "comfort zone" of no more than 165lbs.
But even if I have gone over, it shouldn't be too difficult to shift; and is certainly a better proposition compared to last January when I was over 210lbs !!
Anyway, must forget about Christmas, it's only October for Pete's sake.

Losing 0.5 kg a Week

3 pounds off this week, which is far more than I was expecting, but very pleased with it all the same.
This zig-zag diet has been a great success this month, losing around 5 pounds so far to 11 stone 6, with just another 10 more pounds to go for my final target.
My wife and relations are also pleased at the "new me", but its causing them a few headaches when it comes to Christmas presents, and in particular shirts, t-shirts and trousers etc.
My wife bought me a couple of t-shirts 3 months ago for summer - they fitted very well back then, but now they're a little on the baggy side!
Anyway - treat time later today: either a Full English for breakfast or apple pie and custard after dinner.
Decisions decisions :)

i fancied a nice home-made chicken korma today, but for a change I didn't go with the fat-free natural yogurt as part of the recipie. instead I opted for the Muller Light Coconut and a "hint of vanilla" pot.
And I must say it was rather excellent, and the coconut added a great taste compared to how some chicken curries are made with pure coconut milk - which is quite high in calories and fat.

Today I'm putting my calorie-counting diet & exercise regime om hold.
Instead I aim to have a blow-out at the local pub/inn, with a rather scrummy:-
soup of the day
Chicken Fajitas
And a sticky toffee pudding and ice cream for dessert.
And should a couple of pints of good quality beer accidentally slip down my throat, then that's pure coincidence :)
I will probably pay for it tomorrow with an extra pound or two, but sometimes you just have to have a bit of fun.

Another pound off this week. Pleased with that. Still sticking to the Zig-Zag diet, as well as upping my strength and cardio - even more so now that we're approaching Autumn and the darker, colder mornings/nights.
Historically I always tend to put weight on during this time of the year purely because daylight hours are shorter, and sometimes its just too cold to exercise outside. So will have to keep on top of that this year. Don't want to see all this weight-loss hard work wasted.
