It's Frittata Friday again, and I'll write about mine later. Well, it's later, and my frittata will simple and tasty. Smoked sausage with chipotle and roasted red peppers, fontina cheese, zucchini, green onions, and just enough garlic to keep it interesting.

Well, I went to the men's fellowship breakfast, at my church, and just as I said, they had cheesy scrambled eggs, sausage, and bacon. However, they also had cheesy grits, cheese danish, buttery biscuits, hash browns and an assortment of fruit flavored drinks. I stayed away from the danish, biscuits, hash browns, and fruity drinks; but couldn't resist the grits, which went well with the eggs, sausage, and bacon; I also had some coffee. We had an awesome time of fellowship, and got a good word from God, which was tailored to a men's only audience. Maybe I didn't do exactly as planned, but I stayed away from the sugary, starchy, stuff. By doing so, I limited the damage, and will not miss a beat in getting back to my low carb lifestyle. I'll call that a victory, because, in the past, I would have loaded up on the biscuits, the hash browns, and had several of the danish; even taking some home for later. As said, this one is a victory, and on top of that, the weather was beautiful. :-) Have a great day everyone.

It's another Frittata Friday and, like last week, I'll be holding off until tomorrow to make mine. I have another tasty thing in mind for dinner tonight; garlic shrimp, sauteed with a bit of zucchini, to serve along side a light salad, or maybe even on top. :-)

This Saturday I'll be going to a men's fellowship breakfast, at my church. At first, my thought was; I can't go to something like that; there's going to be too many temptations to pass up. But, I refuse to become a hermit, avoiding any and all social situations that involve food. I'm going there, I will enjoy myself, and eat well; but I will also make the right choices, that don't conflict with my low carb lifestyle. I've been doing it all month long; avoiding cake, cookies, and all manner of tempting snack foods; Saturday will be no different; and when it's all said and done; I'll chalk up another victory. :-) Sunday is coming; my usual weigh in day, and I intend to record another loss. So, bring it on! This will only make me stronger for the next family gathering, which will be around Memorial Day weekend.
