I was reading the EFS book last night and wondered why I wasn't following it since it isn't hard too. I have let my eating go to far from it and that is why I am most likely not losing the weight. I have enough time to complete cycles 1 and 2 completely before the trip so that is what I am doing. I started cycle 1 today and will follow it to the letter and see what the scale tells me next Tuesday. I feel really good about this and know I can see some great results. With water weight loss and what not, it's conceivable I could be back down around 150 right before the trip and that would be great:) I will check back in tonight with my eating and exercise, wish me luck everyone!

Good morning all!
I have had a pretty lazy morning, still kid free, so I am working up the motivation to workout this morning. I know I definitely will, especially since I can take my time but I'm dragging a little today. My body seems to be responding super well to the strength training. I think I have burned off enough fat in the past few months with the cardio that the weight training is more dramatic. Realistically, I have always known in order to burn fat all day and lose weight, you really need to lift weights. Cardio is not nearly as effective since it only burns calories while you are doing it and once you stop, if you don't eat right, it is easy for the weight to come back on. I just need to keep reminding myself of those things so that I stay on the track that is best for me long term.

Morning all,
I am enjoying a quiet house this morning. I stayed up late watching a movie and was determined to sleep in but sure enough, I was up and out of bed at about 7am. My inner alarm clock is set so I figure I should just go with it. I also got in a really tough Firm strength training workout. It was a new one I hadn't done before and I really liked it even though I am feeling sore already.
The past few months, I have been shying away from strength training and doing pretty much all cardio. This month I decided I would try and do 3-4 strength training workouts a week with 2-3 cardio and I notice a really big difference already. It really does lean you out, I just need to stay off the scale for now, and pay attention to my measurements. When I take my measurements on Tuesday, I may just weigh-in for curiosity but I need to not let it bug me if it doesn't say what I want it to:)

WOW! you can see the tumble weeds blow through here on the weekends. Makes me feel like I have no life:) The girls are going to my inlaws this afternoon for a couple of days so I am taking the pleasure of having a kid-free Target visit! I can take my time, see what I want, and maybe get through shopping without forgetting anything! Today is a rest day but with all the running around I will be doing later, I should be getting the heart pumping a bit. Eating is still going well, without any splurges since I have been back. I thought about getting something special for dinner tonight since it'll be just me but I honestly can't think of anything so it'll probaby still be the same ol', same ol'. Atleast I will be keeping the calories in check! Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

I did my workout today, it was a tough Firm sculpting tape. I am so done with the scale and avoiding stgrength training because of the scale. I need to just AVOID the scale and do the strength training because I KNOW that is the only way to build the muscle I need to burn off the fat. Cardio is a calorie burner, but only while you are doing the cardio so it isn't efficient as the strength training. SO, I need to be patient with myself and do the right thing. As long as I am healthy and happy with how I look, it shouldn't matter ehat the scale says. That is the best attitude to have so I will be trying my darndest to keep it:)
