I buckled and weighed myself since I leave for the trip tomorrow. I wasn't expecting much since I have been doing so much weight training but I did lose a little bit. I took my measurements but the site I track them on has been crashed the last few time I tried to use it so I am going to suck it up, be brave and post my measurements on here to keep trackl of my progress. Makes sense anyway since I post here just about everyday. So here I go:

Weight: 158.8 Height 5'8"

Neck: 12.50"
Shoulders: 39.50"
Chest: 37.75"
Waist: 28.00" (narrowest part)
Abdomen: 29.50" (widest part-at belly button)
Hips: 38.25"
Thigh: 21.00" (L and R same)
Knee: 13.50" (L and R same)
Calf: 12.75" (L and R same)
Ankle: 8.00" (L and R same)
Bicep: 10.50" (L and R same)
Forearm: 9.00" (L and R same)
Wrist: 5.75" (L and R same)

So there you have it. Not too bad but there are a few areas that I would love to shave a couple more inches off. Ideally, I'd like to lose 2-3" off my chest, about 2" off both waist and ab areas, 2-3" off the hips, and 1-2" off the thighs. I wish I had taken my measurements at some point before I had gotten pregnant and was about 135. It would be interesting to see the differences. Well, since I head out tomorrow, I have a ton of stuff to do today. Thankfully our flight doesn't leave until around 2pm so I can finish up whatever I need to before I go and have time to workout too:) Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!
I have been eating so well and exercising like a fiend it is hard not to pull out the scale. The only thing keeping me from doing it is the fact that I have been weight training, in addition to cardio, everyh other day. I will do my measurements tomorrow and see how I am doing because I am noticing positive changes in my body, which makes me happier than what the dumb scale will surely tell me. My muscles are pretty sore (good sore) from the workouts I did the last couple of days. I was going to try and workout every day up until my trip on Wednesday but I think I might give myself a break today and work on cleaning the house, packing, and running the last of my errands I need to do before leaving. That will be a pretty good workout in itself.
2 days ago I was driving from my mother in laws house and I heard what I thought was someone shooting at me. About a third of my whinshield exploded and I realized it was hit by a golf ball (she lives in a golf course community). I couldn't see who did it but thankfully when I bought my car last year, it has coverage for 5 years to replace the windshield or repair any dents. So I am actually pretty relieved it hit the windshield rather than damaging another part of the car. It really scared me though, I thought I was under attack! Goofy story but I thought I'd share:)

Hey all,
I had a super productive day already. I called the dog groomer this morning and they could take my 2 pups today so I dropped them off, went back home, had a kick butt Tae Bo Workout, showered, took the girls to Target for some stuff, then picked up the pups, and finally got home to put my youngest down for a nap. I found these wonderful Frozen dishes called MING TSAI, by the famous chef of the same name. They are these low cal, low sodium, fresh, yummy dishes that come in single serve or family size. I had the single serve Shrimp Pad Thai for lunch and it was delicious and very fresh tasting AND very filling. Has anyone else noticed that the quality of frozen meals have really gone up recently? Much better quality and flavor. Perfect for me with the husband out of town so often, it is nice to make something quick and good for myself without any effort. Enough babbling about frozen dinners:)
I am feeling pretty liberated about not weighing myself. I think if I can stick to it, I can save my sanity a bit. It really should come down to how you look and feel and your health. Remembering Oprah, when Dr Oz was on, you should really concentrat on your Waist size, and for women, keep it under 32 1/2 inches to be at optimum health, anything over 37 inches is at an increased risk for all sorts of bad stuff. I am 27 3/4 at narrowest and 29 1/4 at my widest so I feel like I am a pretty good place:) If the scale doesn't choose to agree with that, I will have to ignore that darn scale for a while!

Okay, checking in again with a better attitude! I did an hour long workout, Turbo Jam Total Body Blast, which is a toughie. I burn anywhere from 750-900 calories doing it, depending on my intensity level and today I really worked it. My HRM battery died so I havn't been using it, but I can estimate based on past workouts. I HID MY SCALE! Actually, I know exactly where it is but I put it out of sight, and hopefully out of mind for a while. I go to visit the hubby with my girls next Wednsday for a week then I have a big 16 day trip in September with my husband. I am going to try and really buckle down and work hard between the 2 trips and maybe hold off and weigh in right before my September trip and I definitely will not weigh myself when I get back home! I will have to give myself a couple of months after that of hard work before i even think about the scale;) I will just keep up with my measurements to make sure I am still going in the right direction, sine I know I need some type of accountability!
