The scale is still moving even though I really screwed up dinner the other night! I must admit I am really surprised, I thought I was going to gain but am very happy I didn't. Problem is, I am now really stressed out worrying about how I am going to handle next week's vacation! If I had such a hard time handling one dinner out, how am I going to deal with a week of eating out 3 meals per day?!?

Last night's dinner was a complete mess!!! I blew my carb target big-time! I am definitely not going to be going to anymore Mexican restaurants again anytime soon - my will power crumbled the moment the chips and queso dip hit the table! I have to admit, this is going to be a lifestyle change versus a "diet" for me. I felt like crap (physically) after eating that junk last night. Emotionally, I was really disappointed in myself for giving in to the temptation, but I think I may have needed a reality check anyway. I left the house feeling a little cocky and confident that I could handle going to the restaurant pretty easily. This way of eating is still relatively new to me (less than 3 weeks), and I was being naive. Oh well......today is a NEW DAY!
Thank God, I have jumped right back on plan! That alone is HUGE for me because whenever I have failed to "stick" to my diet in the past, it always became a 2-3 day binge fest and I never would get back on track. Not exactly sure why it seems so much easier now, but I am very grateful that is has been!

Weight loss has slowed down, but I expected as much. The first 2 weeks I lost about 13 pounds! I was pretty much on plan 100%, but knew that couldn't last long term. Induction is a little too restrictive for longer than the initial 2 weeks as far as I am concerned. So even with adding some items (nuts) and carbs (not too many) my energy is still way up, and cravings are minimal. I am finally believing that this is really going to work for me!
