Another pound gone! I'd like to lose 3# by next Tuesday. My daughter will be 16 that day and it would be a neat boost to my ego to have my weight lower than when I gave birth to her. Years ago I was 210#, when I was nursing her brother, so it's not like it's a milestone for me, but to be at that weight by her birthday would be neat.
I ate weirdly all week. Strange combinations of food that aren't bad by themselves, but coupled with other meals during the day left me feeling bloated and strange. I ate rice for lunch one day and went around for the rest of the day feeling like I had a ball of sludge in my gut. The next day a Subway turkey on wheat and felt lethargic and sleepy. The day after that, sushi, which really had me in misery by the end of the day. But the one day I had a salad with chicken I was awesome all day. No tummy issues, no slump, no lethargy. Over the last couple of weeks I've found I can pretty much eat what I want, as long as I follow phase 1 for breakfast and lunch, then phase 2 for dinner.
I indulged in pizza for dinner on Friday, but before I ate it, I looked up the nutritional information. What an eye opener!! One piece had almost 400 calories. In the past it wasn't unusual for me to have four-six pieces for a meal. I ate 2 pieces of the pan, one piece of the the thinner crust and felt satisfied and content. A lot of calories at one time, yes, but I was still low for the day. And not something I'm doing every week.
I went bike riding yesterday instead of walking. It was wonderful and fun!!

I don't like the way I ate yesterday. I still feel bloated and full. Thing is, I didn't eat too much, just not the right stuff. I know what NOT to eat now.
The cold is gone...mostly. I'm a little sniffley but not feeling like I'm going to collapse.
I put on my fat jeans last night and had to hitch them up a dozen or more times. When we got home I stood in the living room, sucked in my gut, shimmied my hips and they fell off me. I was impressed; the kids, not so much.

We walked 1.8 miles in 34 minutes. Math geniuses: how fast did we walk? This is stumping me.
A cold is trying to catch me. It came on incredibly suddenly last night, with a sneezing fit that resulted in a runny nose. I'm medicating with pseudofedrine and AirBorne. The AirBourne really works, if you start it fast enough. I just don't have the time or energy to devote to a cold.
My pregnant friend came up to me on Saturday and gave me a big hug. "I'm sick!" she announced. Oh, Thank you!!

I measured myself 22 days ago, and then again this morning. I've lost a total of 5 1/2 inches. One inch each from my bust, my waist and my hips. My goodness!!
