Last night's pot of soup just wasn't right. I was craving what I thought was bean soup but once I got a bowl of it, I wasn't all that thrilled. I wonder if I left something out of the recipe or if it was because I used a different type of ham than I normally do.

Had a gathering at church last night. Help it down to 2 small cookies and 4 tortilla chips with a meat/cheese dip. I didn't walk away from the stuff completely but the if 2 cookies are the worst error of the day, I think I am ok.

I was NOT able to walk yesterday. We had an ice storm the previous night and I couldn't get out from our gravel road until after 3pm and by then I had to catch up on errands. I will get back on task today.

WATERWATERWATER!!!! Does any one else have a difficult time getting all of their water in? Any helpful hints? I would love to hear them.

Blessings to each of you. go forward with today to the best of your ability and I will do the same!

I made it through supper and entertaining last night until they brought out the plate of Christmas goodies they brought. I help myself in check and only ate two cookies but today my husband either needs to take them to his work area outside or I toss them. I will not be derailed.

It is so difficult to thank someone who graciously brought you something homemade when it is spawn of the devil for me! Do you tell them to take it back because I can't have it. I am changing my eating or do you just go with it?

I don't think they were trying to sabotage my diet but my willpower isn't always my strongest feature.

Needless to say, ne weight loss today. I didn't get all of my water in but I am going to walk today and keep myself on track.

As a bonus to cooking last night, I got a lot of stuff used up in my fridge. Today, I have a pot of soup on the stove. It is on my eating plan and it will warm me up from this chilly, icy weather we are having.

What is your favorite comfort food recipe that you have in your "safe" foods arsenal?

While on our walk yesterday, the dogs decided to veer off course and follow a deer trail. They were out of sight and very focused on the mission. Thankfully, they were only gone about 10 minutes but I sure was irritated/ worried. Hirschl is 8 months old and has never done that before. His buddy is 2 and apparently does this occasion. Nothing like the older dog teaching the puppy bad habits!

When they came back to us at full speed they were so excited that I couldn't stay mad for long. Lesson learned however. No off leash walking with his best pal Spud!

I think the extra walk and the extra water, (as well as limiting my salt and staying on track eating) got me over this stall.

Tonight's challenge: We are having family over for dinner. I figure if I control the menu, I control my eating. I am providing dessert. If I make a dessert I don't like, I won't eat it! lol. Do I do that or provide delicious dessert and just not have any? Decisions. Decisions!

Did all of you get your exercise in yesterday?
