I've discovered I no longer eat when I'm bored, I now read about eating when I'm bored. I've been reading all about food and diets and recipes and why we get fat all day long. I've been up since 5 this morning and have done nothing but research, read, shower, feed myself a little, and read some more. I can't believe it's already 3 o'clock. I need a nap. I think all this reading is making me sleepy.

I survived Super Bowl without having a single alcoholic beverage. I'm kind of proud of this fact. I don't even like football, but any other year I would consider this game an excuse to drink to excess. My eating was absolutely crappy, but nothing really off plan. Just way too much of it. I did have a single diet root beer and it even seemed too sweet, but standing around drinking plain old water just didn't seem very festive.
What I'm grateful for today:
A beautiful sunrise and a fresh start.

THE OPPOSITE OF ADD
Trying to figure out the next 3 days of menus so I can get the grocery shopping done today and won't have to go over the weekend. I really need to be a little more focused on getting this done as quickly as possible. But when I start looking at recipes I get pulled into all the wonderful things I could make and then before I know it, HOURS have passed and I haven't written a single thing down on my grocery list.
I'm thinking I just need to keep it basic for now so I at least get it done. It shouldn't be too hard. Meat, veg, salads for dinner. Eggs for breakfast. Leftovers or salads with protein for lunch. A little something for snacks/dessert. How hard is that??? Apparently for someone who has the opposite of ADD (what would that be called?), pretty dang hard.

Doing laundry and housekeeping today and feeling grateful I have a home and laundry to do. Also feeling grateful for everything else I have and I don't mean the material things in my life. I'm even grateful that I have a weight problem I can deal with and that it isn't because of a disability or because I live somewhere with little choice. Today my funny face has turned introspective.
