It's been a bit of an emotional week. Just yeah personal and blah. Either way I've not been sticking to my diet as well as I should but I still lost a couple pounds. Of that, I shall not complain.

Well I tried other stuff. Worked about as well as doing nothing. So... back to slim fast. For me the old slogan 'A shake for breakfast another for lunch and then a sensible dinner' is the path. Tho for me it's probably going to be ignore breakfast a shake for lunch, a prepackaged 600 to 800 calorie side dish for dinner and a Lipton chicken noodle soup somewhere either after lunch or after dinner. Add a protein bar or two through the day. It'll put me at 1500 to 1700 calories a day. That's technically 50% of my recommended intake but my metabolism is slower than a particularly tired giant sloth so eating the recommended intake makes me gain weight. So the weight cut begins anew.

So, I took some advice I got both here and well elsewhere... I've stopped the oxo thing for the most part. When I stopped it I proceeded to gain back almost 12 pounds. So I didn't put it up here. It's been about a week and I've gotten back to 310 by eating relatively normally and going back to trying to keep under 2000 calories a day. I failed that a couple times but not by much. I've gone mostly Gluten free with the exception of my lipton chicken noodle soup which sadly has no Gfree variant.
Eating fairly clean too. A lot of chicken breast and salads. Hell, even the high calorie days aren't through bad foods really. It tends to be me eating a couple double turkey burgers on my Gfree bread. Those days usually mean I don't lose for the day but also don't gain. The no added sugar thing is going well. I found a surprising amount of ice cream and candies that are very sugar reduced. I like that it allows me to have the option of a dessert AND keep the daily sugar intake low. (going for under 80 grams total intake(not just added sugar, I mean total sugar) or less. The number is arbitrary and often ends up being much lower. Either way on and on I go...

The scale is back going the good way. I feel far more confident in continuing to eat better. I've been finding ways to reduce my sugar intake while still indulging my sweet tooth. I found a no sugar added vanilla ice cream that actually tastes good. something like 7 grams of sugar per serving vs the 24 or more grams in regular ice cream. My revised goal is roughly 1600 calories a day and less than 100 total grams of sugar per day(not free sugar like the stuff you add to make stuff sweet but total sugar in everything including naturally occurring stuff.) So yeah, only 110 pounds to go for my long term goal lol
