Weight is way up after weekend visit with my Mom - Outback, a pub, Ruby Tuesdays, you name it.
My sister got me a Fitbit device for my birthday - turn the big 4-0 tomorrow, and I'm hoping that will motivate me to get up and moving! I had hoped to be a lot smaller by tomorrow, that didn't happen, but I'm not going to let it depress me - going to just get back in the game.
On Fitbit I joined the 10% challenge - try to lose 10% of my weight. That would be 23 lbs for my weight today. If I could lose that, say in the next 4 months, that would be great! Gonna try!

Feeling better today. Even though I pigged out yesterday morning, I ate fairly reasonably the rest of the day. Then this morning I got to the gym, 12 minutes on arc machine, 20 on bike, followed by my PT for my knee (a lot of knee and leg exercises).
I can tell that even though I haven't lost weight, I really have gained strength in my legs/knees. Wasn't that long ago I could barely do my leg lifts with 2.5 lbs, now I'm getting through them all with 5.0 lbs.
This morning I did stop at DD, got two egg/cheese wraps and hash browns (total of 540 calories). That's quite high for breakfast, but because I got it at 9:30, I'm actually pretty full going on lunch. Will probably have a later lunch of fruit, plus plenty of flavored water.

SO here's where I sabotage myself. I had really great intentions this am, was going to do just drink, fruits, veggies, light protein. No carbs at all.
Then I started driving in to work, and I swear my brain was in overdrive thinking about how I could get my carb fix. I thought about McD's, Dunkin Donuts, etc. So instead of turning left into work, I went straight to the bakery and got two muffins (didn't even limit myself to 1!). The muffins are 50% off day-olds, so two is just $1.39, so I rationalize that I should at least buy two!
Got to work and SCARFED those muffins while still in my car - just like a wino sneaking drinks from a paper bag.
Sitting on my car seat were two bananas and an apple, so no excuse!
Now I'm sitting here feeling really guilty about how low I've gone - from where I was losing weight and following the diet well, to today where I'm sneaking snacks all the time, and not having any self-control.
I turn 40 in a week! I had hoped to have a lot of weight off by then, then hoped to just get below 200 by then, then hoped to just get back to 218 by then...
My mom comes in this weekend, and I will enjoy dinner at Outback complete with a steak - love their steak and can't see myself getting just a salad - but I really do need to get this self-sabotaging under control!!!

So a weekend of splurging, and the weight shows. Back to good eating this week, since I know I'll be splurging a bit this next weekend, my mom will be in town.
This week will focus on veggies and fruit, and lean protein.
