First week living in retirement and loving it to pieces. As I committed to myself, I've gotten up every morning and taken a long walk, 7 to 9 miles. What a great way to greet the day.

This is my last day at work. One of my goals in the last few years was to enter retirement fit and active with a healthy weight. Today's weigh-in made me happy. Tomorrow my husband, two of my adult sons and I are going to the beach for a week. When I am at the beach I can't help myself but to walk for miles and miles a day. So - health and fitness to enter retirement and health and fitness to start retirement and health and fitness to carry me through a long, happy retirement!
