Yipee, yay, awright, hurrah, my efforts are paying off. It's bloody cold in these parts; lots of wind, chill, and threat of heavy rains, but my spirits are high. I was afraid to weigh in. I didn't want to see that I was still stagnant on the scale. I worked out for a little over an hour this morning and I was hesitant, but I checked my weight just before I showered. I was pleased. Just about 2.6 more pounds to lose and maybe a couple more after that just to stay on the safe side. Exercise is a GREAT appetite suppressant. Exercise is a great mood enhancer. Everyone should be hooked on it! It's the most natural drug anyone could ever hope to possess, and it's free!

Not weighing in yet. I don't want to know yet what are the effects of my choices this past week. So far, I haven't exercised this week but I'm hoping to squeeze some in today around 1400 or so. I'm tired, stayed up all night after catching up on sleep until 2030 last night. I thought it would be sufficient to keep me going all day today but it turns out that I could sleep some more. lol I've been doing housework along with work work. On these days when work is slow, I ought to be working on my novel, not just dreaming of having the time to write. It's just the idea of "squeezing in" some writing feels unappealing, esp. with all the interruptions that occur throughout the day. But I'll try anyway. What could it hurt? Better shitty writing than no writing, eh?

I feel like I took two steps forward and 10 backward. Six pounds to go still, and it's been three or more weeks. Well, those 10 backward steps had been pretty back-back. Much backness took place, indeed. Yes, baby got back and now she must catch up. The bright side?? At least I'm not 100+ pounds.

I had a healthy day today. I was very tired and had to get much paperwork done. I could have pigged out and self-corrected, but I didn't. The setting was ripe for it: I was alone, working at the dinner table all day, and tired. But exercise helped keep my appetite in check. I chewed sugar-free gum all day and it cleaned out my digestive tract, as those gums are prone to do. Wonderful! For dinner, a chicken sausage and lots of red onions hit the spot. It triggered my appetite and lust for dessert but I tuned out the call of the hog wild. Spicy foods really help to satisfy the desire for tasty dishes. I bought a lot of grape tomatoes this evening as well. Love them with onions on a white cheddar rice cake.Perfect low-calorie pizza ready in seconds. It's all good. I haven't even touched the Slimfast shakes yet, and I've had them for weeks. It's great to feel strong and svelte again. Not pudgy and roly-poly, hiding behind big clothes like I was in the past. No offense to anyone, please. I hope you reach your goals too. I judge only myself through my eyes and my expectations for myself. Peace to all and a happy and safe trick or treating.

Had a blast at last night's Halloween costume part in New Memphis. Chris, Jesse, Jim, Sherie, Carrie - all present. Carrie's guy won the contest ($75) only because a certain percentage of Carrie's family were there at Memphis Station and we all showed support during the contest. The loudest hurrah, and he won. The little prick should have bought us all a round, but he hoarded the booty instead. Later I told him that he should at least karaoke the Top Gun song (his and Carrie's costumes, cute!) as a show of appreciation but he was too chicken. Even Chris didn't karaoke, and it was his primary reason for going to Memphis Station! But he complained of feeling uncomfortable after he partook of some grass with Jim and his friends. Wonderful evening just the same. We later went to one of Sherie's relative's house and I danced my butt off and Chris took pictures. I was a geicha, Chris a ninja (uh! he was bloody sexy and edible!!), and Jesse was a suicide bomber. At the house party, a guy we met, Jeffrey, was there dressed as an Army soldier. He cooperated and let us get some action shots of him subduing Jesse. It was cool, and the photos turned out nicely. By the way, the house was beautiful, the floors were polished hardwood in a red hue. It was perfect for dancing all night. How did I know I would be before we even left the apartment? It was in the stars.
