So this is a mixed blessing. I haven't been on as much lately because of a health set back. I ended up having a lot of pain and am currently getting it treated and diagnosed. In the process, I got a high blood pressure diagnosis that has me on daily medication. As awesome as this loss is, I'm pretty sure it is just water weight from the new meds. :)
I'm still happy it's off, and maybe I can keep it off. Meanwhile, I feel better than I have in quite awhile. Part of that is just most of the daily pain of moving around is gone, but that makes it so much easier to get moving and do things around the house and with friends.
So lots of reasons to be positive even if it isn't *all* positive.

Yay! I was hoping to stay the same or lose 1/2 pound, so this was a nice surprise. I'm 5 pounds away from my initial goal, and if i keep things up I should reach that in about a month.
I've been moderately successful in cutting back on eating out. I used to get take out at least once every day, but now, I'm down to 4-5 times per week. And I know that at least half of those are because I didn't plan and prepare adequately. However, when I do get take out, I'm planning my other meals around that to ensure that I get enough protein and limit my fat intake.
On another nice note, I'm getting used to smaller meals. This morning was one of those days. I didn't make my breakfast ahead of time and I overslept, so I got my regular take out breakfast. As yummy as it is, there isn't enough protein and too much fat. However, now, I am stuffed. It was too much! So, my own smaller more veggie packed breakfasts are paying off in other ways too. :)
So this weekend will be another adventure in meal planning and prep. Maybe I can get my take out number down to 2. I'd be very happy with that, but the key is slow and manageable change. This will mean some meals I can freeze for later in the week when I have no desire to cook. I got this.

3 people wanted to meet with me before I even got to my desk this morning. There were no big problems happily, and now I can eat my breakfast. :)
