Day 8
20K steps ✔️
I think a non-weight/ health goal I’d like to complete is finding a church to attend. One with people who aren’t judgmental. Growing up my mom was Catholic so we’d go to church on Sunday’s and my dad was Christian, church was Wednesday evenings. I’d bible study with The Jehova Witness’s Tuesdays and Thursdays, then met Aisha and read the Quran with her family after school from 7th grade until Sophomore year. In 2016 I immersed myself into the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Religion has always fascinated me but I’ve always felt lost. I don’t feel like I pray I just sort of talk to god. Our family has people in each of the religions I’ve dabbled in so I was always allowed to choose. Do I have to call and ask permission from the church to sit in during a service? I feel so weird doing this as an adult now back then it was always with a family member who’d take me.

Im in the process of finding a new church too (i just moved to a new city). You can just show up, say hi to the folks who greet you and tell them you’re new. If it’s a good church, they’ll make you feel welcome. No need to sign up

Praying for you! I don't know what I would do if I didn't have a relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

I too attended different faith's as I grew to adulthood. I now have chosen which faith to practice. I say traditional prayers, however, I talk to God all day long. I ask for peace in the world, and I pray for goodness and kindness in my fellow man. I talk to God as my friend and protector. I thank God for my life and for blessing me with my husband and family. I pray the same for you. I wish you peace and happiness.

Only way to God is through Jesus. Because WE SUCK and Jesus died so we could become righteous. Now we don’t have to “do/earn” anything. Just believe… its so simple but DANG it’s hard to believe sometimes how wonderful HE is and to trust Him with your whole life. But, what an amazing life if you do! Basically, jump off a cliff and hope He catches you. Now that you’re thoroughly confused…find a church that believes the Bible and teaches it. (It’s a love story…not a rule book😉)

Good morning Yelizzle and happy Friday! I don’t post comments usually but something in my heart wanted me to send you even more encouragement. As many have said here, I too know how I simply cannot imagine my life without our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. My faith and story is rooted and grounded in Jesus. His presence every day is my life source, the only thing that satisfies and fills deep within my heart and my soul. Like many here have said and know , we live in a fallen world that is full of troubles. But God is the peace that passes all understanding. Seek and you will find. He is the way, the only way, by His saving grace. I have been through many challenges and obstacles but Jesus has been there by my side, through each storm, every valley, and every mountain. God is so good. He sees your heart and knows your innermost thoughts. My dear sister, if I may, He has already found the perfect church for you, the perfect fellowship, the perfect Bible study wherever it may be. He will show you, guide you, lead you to where that is. Speak to Him what is on your heart. You don’t need fancy words or formality. Just you, your heart, and He sees you just where you are. Simply said, but I cannot say these words enough as they are so powerful to me each and every day… God is so good. Oh how He loves you! And what a joy and delight you are in His eyes! His masterpiece, you are like no other. You will be on my mind today as I lift you up in prayer on your journey to find where God has already picked out for you. I pray your walk is full of His blessings and guidance and love and peace. Have a remarkable day today. May it be filled with His presence in your coming and going.

Goodness, what a diverse experience you’ve had! So many confusing messages. Jesus is everything to me. I’m praying that the Lord will send you to just the right Bible-believing church. You will be welcomed with open arms. Just go. No invitation required. Early, late, whatever. Just go. Make new friends. Join a Bible study. You are loved more than you know.

Praying that God leads you to a church that will fulfill your needs. I attend Calvary Chapel specifically because it's a Bible teaching church and that's important to me. 💜🙏🙏

Wow! What beautiful posts! I’ll be praying for you as well. God has a plan for you and will guide you to just the right to church. Jeremiah 29:11 says that He knows the plans for you and those plans will be a blessing and constant stream of hope. Keep having those conversations with God because that is what prayer is. It will change over time and will be an awesome part of your life. I look forward to your testimony and may God bless, keep and guide you!!! ☺️
