okay so not happy about the gain, but I had a late night snack of Salami, and my calorie intake was over 1400. So tonight, no late night snack, and cutting back to 1200-1300 calories. The salami took me over the edge... In retrospect I was trying to get more protein in. I could have had that in a mini protein shake and been as quick and satisfying.
Also at first when I would read what Diablo had to say about carbs and fats it pissed me off. I felt defensive of my chosen diet path. But the more I read the links the more it does make sense, and follows what I have already learned. Kinda funny how that works.
I find the past month that I am ingesting a lot of artificail sweetners and I know they are not good for me. I am going to try Diablo's approach to the percentages and see how I feel after a couple weeks.
I am in the long term/life changing eating not just a diet so seems like tweaking may have to occur to keep it real.
