After researching gastric bypass, lap band and reduced calorie diet, I decided reduced calorie was best. I lowered my caloric intake, continued to walk and lift hand weights plus ab crunches, and I have succeeded in dropping 27 pounds! I continue to journal and watch what I eat. My blood sugars are nearly all normal, and now I can see what triggers the spikes.
71.7 kg Lost so far: 14.5 kg.    Still to go: 4.5 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 0.7 kg a Week
