Today is my 55th birthday. My husband made a great dinner, specialty only ground meat meatballs. I passed on the whole wheat pasta but I had 1 1/2 ounce italian bread with olive oil dipping sauce. But then, my granddaugter, (5 1/2) made me a birthday cake. I know I shouldn't have but I had a half of piece anyway.
What a no no! A whopping 57.16 carbs today! (31.5 just cake)
Maybe I'll do a Zumba tape. Willl that counteract it? I hope so.

OMG - I went to a 50th birthday party today. Did pretty good with the food. Had a Miller Lite beer and was worried about the carbs so I looked for plain soda. Could not find diet and WOW the carbs in a half a can of ginger ale put me way over!!!
And, I was worried about the beer. I should have stuck with the lite beer - only 3.4 carbs. I am feeling bloated. I had a hard time getting my rings off. I know I definitley will not get on the scale tomorrow. Oh well live and LEARN.

Weekends are tough for me - off my schedule.
Instead of waking up, exercising, packing a lunch and going to work;
I take care of my mother, who is 90, make a big breakfast (good thing Atkins likes bacon and eggs)and start cleaning the house.
So I end up eating more and exercising less. Boo weekends - Weekends should be fun!

Took the day off of work - ha! Been washing windows, cleaning baseboards, moving furniture, changing curtains for the last 2 1/2 hours. At least it's good exercise!

Suggestions Please!
I don't know why I am not losing weight. I started on April 9th - the first week I lost 5 pounds (a pound a day for the first 5 days). Since then I have not lost any weight.
I think I am following the Atkins plan to the T. Low carb, more protein and fat. I've been lifting weights (7lbs) for my problem areas, arms and crunches with a big ball (stomach). And, today, I started walking.
Anyone who has been or is being successful on Atkins, please take a look at my meal plan and give me any suggestions you can.
