Finally able to wear a sports bra without pain! Time to get my fitness back! Also, adjusting my goals into baby steps and gonna just keep dropping to a lower goal weight until I reach my ideal weight, so it’s not as daunting.

It’s been a rough few weeks. After getting back from holiday having managed to lose a bit and get fit, something seemed to go wrong. I ballooned to 106.7 kg and started feeling intense pain any time I ate. Exercise was replaced by constant haziness from pain pills while test after test came back saying nothing was wrong and in just two weeks I dropped 6.2kg from a combination of not eating due to the pain and some other, less nice symptoms. Luckily I was referred to a specialist who took my pain seriously and refused to give up until we figured it out. Turns out I’d been showing symptoms of the digestive disorder I’ve been diagnosed with for about 9 months but had been writing them off as something everybody experiences and so didn’t think to mention them until specifically asked if I had experienced them. But the important thing is we have a diagnosis and a way to treat it! So now I’ve had to make big changes to the way I eat and it’ll be a lifetime change. My appetite is still very small and I’m only managing around 800-950 calories a day but it’s better than the 200-400 calories a day I was having to force into myself a week ago. And hey, at least I’m moving toward my goal while I try and get back to a more sustainable calorie intake and start exercising again.
