One pound? ONE POUND?!!? How in the world did I go from losing a pound a day to a pound a week? UGH!!!
Well, new week=new focus. I guess I have to break down and start writing down everything I eat because this just WON'T do! Even though I am a bit discouraged, I am not giving up just yet.

Whew.........no entry yesterday. Guess I will have to make 2 today. Only visited the gym 3x's this week. We will go on Sun to make up for the 4th day. I would sure like to find a way to motivate myself to go more. I cheated and weighed. It made me sad. I did not lose one little ounce. Good that I didn't gain. Gonna wait until Sun for official reading. I need to lose a little more than 1/2 a pound every single day to reach my first goal by 2/15 (2/16 is the big night). I have been eating way too much. No carbs but still too much of other things. I think some common issues are preventing me from losing anything. One of them is the weather. It's dreary and sort of cold and I am bored out of my mind. I don't seem to WANT to do anything to occupy my mind so I won't think I am hungry. I drank the last Atkins shake yesterday and I will not buy any more of those. Today, I will attempt, yet again, to drink more water. When I go to the kitchen to look for something to eat, I will drink a glass of water and think about if I am really hungry or not. Usually not but I eat anyway.

Bad day yesterday. Job rejection. I know once I am working again I will feel much better about myself. Made a few changes to the resume this morning-see if that helps. Went to Red Lobster but ate only scallops, shrimp, lobster and asparagus. Not bad but for lunch I ate some fish with too many veggies. I DID drink more water. I saw a posting yesterday where someone said you should eat something before going to the gym. I think I will try that. It made sense to me to get your metabolism going. I will try to go on Friday even though I will have to go alone. There is this mean girl there every morning. If you are on a machine that she wants, she will sit there and stare at you until you move. This morning, she asked my sister if she could share. So rude. We nick named her Olive Oil. She only stared at me once. I don't like that. Uncomfortable enough without all that drama. Anyway, we made it through the whole workout today. I am actually going to cook breakfast and try to eat 3 squares today.

Had a productive day at the gym. I think I ate too much yesterday. At least I ate the RIGHT things. Instead of making a PB&J sandwich with a big glass of milk that I REALLY wanted, I made some tuna with egg and mayo only and ate it plain with a glass of water. That helped a little and salad for dinner. I really want to eat more meat and not so many vegetables. I guess I don't really like meat as much as other things. I just have to get used to the change and make some adjustments. Going good so far. This is the longest (not even 2 weeks) that I have gone without cheating! I am on a roll!

No water yesterday at all. Not even one little taste. I am off to a good start today, I had a whole quart at the gym. I also bought some Atkins shakes. Maybe this will help me with breakfast since I don't normally do breakfast. I always feel so energized after a work out. I would love to keep that feeling all day. It seems to gradually wear off and completely end at around 2:00. Looking forward to another Sunday!
