Day 3 of Potato Hack: I AM DONE WITH POTATOES. LOL! I know I'll get over it soon. but for now, when I wake up in the morning, I will so happy to have some vegetables and fruit. I found this website: https://visualimpactfitness.com/high-carb-fat-loss/
and may invest the $37 to get the high carb fat loss class/materials to see if this may be an option for me. After literally 5 years of trying everything that used to work, as well as anything new, this potato hack thing may be on to something. Perhaps, contrary to the popular beliefs these days, what I need is a high carb diet consisting of lots of resistant starches that don't break down. I don't know. I am happy I tried the Potato Hack, and may revisit it again for another round when I get back from my 2 week vacation. Perhaps this time I won't complain so much! And, may even try 4 days instead of 3. We'll see.

Day 2 of 3 Potato Hack: Ughh...I am more sick of potatoes than I was yesterday! I tried to mix it up by adding a sweet potato. That helped a bit. I also kept myself busy with work and cleaning house so I wouldn't think about it. Green tea and coffee helped as well. I keep telling myself that I have just one more day. I can do it! ( I hope). Send me good vibes!

Day 1 of Potato Hack. Ughh, I am already tired of potatoes. I have eaten them with mustard, with Frank's Red Hot, and with turkey bone broth & nutritional yeast. I have never been much of a potato eater (unless they were fried, of course!). But, overall, I am doing ok today. That's all I can do...take it one day at a time. My family is having steak and veggie kabobs and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. I'm not jealous. I have them another time. I will weight myself this evening and again tomorrow to see if this has done anything. 3 is the magic number of days. I can do this for 3 days.

Today I was supposed to start the Potato Hack diet, recommended by my naturopath. I wasn't able to prepare the potatoes yesterday as I planned. I woke up this morning and did 2 huge batches of potatoes in the instant pot first thing. I let two of them cool, then reheated them while I started reading more on the PotatoHackChronicles website. While doing this, I learned that I was supposed to cool them for 12 hours minimum to increase the resistant starch. Of course, this is after I had eaten two potatoes already, LOL! Oh, well. I decided to stop eating the potatoes and start fresh tomorrow. Instead, I am eating a high carb "fast" for the rest of the day. This is still in line with the premise of the Potato Hack: forcing the body to burn fat for rapid weight loss and a metabolic re-set. Tomorrow I will start again and do the Potato Hack for 3 days. I hope it goes well. I feel this is almost a last resort.
