i am Shell, Live in North Wales with my Partner, Andy and our pets. i was not overweight or ever thought about what I ate until I was 20 and since then life has become a nightmare of yoyo dieting. Last year I promised to lose it all before I was 40, but it's too late for that now. Instead, I'm starting now as I mean to go on.
I am a vegan but am very fond of savoury junk food like bread and marge, chips and take away curries and like beer and wine too much for my figure. My favourite thing to do would be to listen to an audio book whilst knitting with a glass of wine on one side and a plate of chips on the other, so you can see things have to change. I plan to join a gym on week 2 of my plan but until then have got a Tony little Gazelle and some books and dvds on learning yoga.
Best foot forward, I'm very excited and plan to be the tortoise rather than the hair this time and not get bogged down in perfectionist attitudes which scupper my progress. Would love to hear from anyone else following the Ornish plan for advice and support.
