Day 3 of detox and I THINK I'm doing okay...haven't slipped up yet that I know of! For breakfast, I've been having oatmeal, fruit (mangoes, YUM!), and green tea. Then for a mid-morning snack, black beans with corn. Lunch, 3 egg whites scrambled with mushrooms, peppers, and tomato (also yum), and another piece of fruit. Evening snacks I'm changing around to include different fresh vegetables...and then dinner I'm having some sort of salad and brown rice (which is kind of hard, b/c I don't care for rice), and more beans. Oh, and sometimes a cup of soup. I feel great thus far, aside from one thing: MASSIVE HEADACHES! I know I'm not dehydrated, b/c I'm drinking tons of water throughout the day. So, I'm attributing the headaches to my lack of caffiene...I am a huge coffee addict, so this has been really hard for me. Anyone have any advice?
Oh, and the exercise thing has been easy peasy...5 minute walk to the gym, 25 minutes on the elliptical, 10 minutes of abs, and then a 5 minute walk back home.
I won't be going to the gym Friday or Saturday though because...I'm moving!! I bought a new house, and am finally getting out of this crappy apartment. I'm so excited. Anyhow, I figure lugging furniture and boxes around for several hours will count as more than enough exercise.

Nice job!!! Keep up the great work, you are eating awesome and you are doing great with exercise!!! Moving is defiantly exercise, so count that for those 2 days! You should have no problems weighing in for sure! Best of luck!

Jduchess: I had a horrible headache the first day from the lack of coffee. I tried the tea, and just could not do it. I decided to limit myself to two cups of coffee a day with soy milk in place of my favorite half and half and using vanilla soy, no sugar is needed. I understand the idea of detox is to rid your body and show that it cannot get what it wants, but...I also spoke to my doctor who stated that 2 cups of coffee is a good alternative. Cutting back for me helped, also. I do not consider coffee cheating. I know what Ian Smith would say, but, look at it this way, two cups of coffee is a hell of a lot better than eating a huge chocolate cake. Has anyone else introduced it into the detox phase?

I had horrible headaches too and they passed. It is your boddy detoxing all of the junk from your system, it's a good thing:)
