Holy moly!! I need some help climbing back up on the wagon FAST! I have had a RIDICULOUS couple of weeks. Since my last weigh in, I have:
-Closed on a house
-Bought a puppy
-Talked engagement with my boyfriend
-Totaled my car
-Bought a new car-
-Started school (I'm a 2nd grade teacher)
-Had a friend in from out of town
Needless to say, with all that going on, I have had a HECK of a time staying on fat smash...or even really thinking about food in any healthy way! I haven't weighed myself again...I'm too scared to...but I am pretty sure I've gained back 2 or 3 of the pounds I had lost. I could use some words of encouragement about getting back in the swing of things, now that things are kind of settling down around here!!

Yay yay yay!! Today was my last day of detox, and I weighed in at 154...that means I lost 7 pounds! I probably could have lost another pound or two, if I hadn't lost control a couple of times...pizza one night, pasta one night, and yesterday...a handful of chocolate chips!! ACK! Other than those three instances, I have done pretty well I think. The working out has been a breeze. And the fact that my clothes are a tiny bit looser is a good motivator! I don't know how well I'll do this week...a friend from college is coming in to spend the week, and we tend to have a beer every now and again...BUT I will try very hard not to completely blow my diet. I can't promise 100%...but I'll try my best. Yay, seven pounds!!!

Losing 2.8 kg a Week

Day 3 of detox and I THINK I'm doing okay...haven't slipped up yet that I know of! For breakfast, I've been having oatmeal, fruit (mangoes, YUM!), and green tea. Then for a mid-morning snack, black beans with corn. Lunch, 3 egg whites scrambled with mushrooms, peppers, and tomato (also yum), and another piece of fruit. Evening snacks I'm changing around to include different fresh vegetables...and then dinner I'm having some sort of salad and brown rice (which is kind of hard, b/c I don't care for rice), and more beans. Oh, and sometimes a cup of soup. I feel great thus far, aside from one thing: MASSIVE HEADACHES! I know I'm not dehydrated, b/c I'm drinking tons of water throughout the day. So, I'm attributing the headaches to my lack of caffiene...I am a huge coffee addict, so this has been really hard for me. Anyone have any advice?
Oh, and the exercise thing has been easy peasy...5 minute walk to the gym, 25 minutes on the elliptical, 10 minutes of abs, and then a 5 minute walk back home.
I won't be going to the gym Friday or Saturday though because...I'm moving!! I bought a new house, and am finally getting out of this crappy apartment. I'm so excited. Anyhow, I figure lugging furniture and boxes around for several hours will count as more than enough exercise.

Well, today is Day One of my attempt to get down to 135 pounds. I have gained quite a bit of weight over the past 2 years, and really want to get back down to close to where I used to be. I am doing Fat Smash b/c a couple of my friends have had good luck with it. I had fun at the grocery store today. I got lots of vegetables, some egg whites, fruits, oatmeal, etc. I had to avert my eyes when I passed the ice cream, potatoes, fried chicken, and a few other things...but I consoled myself with the fact that I got to buy different sorts of beans, a mango, and some raw green beans (my favorites). Anyhow, just wanted to post and say "hello"...hoping to get in touch with a diet buddy or two that can help keep me accountable, as I'm in a social crowd that pays little attention to food intake! I'm anxious to explore the site a little bit, get some ideas, and get a clearer understanding of what I should be eating and what I should avoid. Oh, also, I'm a pretty devout member of a gym...I typically do 30 minutes of cardio, 10 minutes of abs, and sometimes some weights. If you have suggestions of things I should add, I would appreciate them!! I'm so glad to have found this website...I'm sure it will be quite helpful. And I'm so pleased to see so many people having awesome success!!!
