Day 6 of induction and I am only down a pound. I don't know what I am doing wrong? Today I am taking a different approach and cutting out the Atkins shakes in the afternoon. I have had one for the past 3 days and haven't lost an ounce since. Major workout today as well. Why wont my body just cooperate? I am eating a small amount of calories, burning more than I am eating... and still staying the same? I am so lost, it is so hard to lose weight, I never had to before and this is crazy! I will keep going on though, success will but much worth it!

Hi Brianne,as a fellow Atkins supporter,it is great to see that you are still hoing to see this through.Just by reviewing your food entries,I can see that you need to increase your vegetables.You should be getting a minimum of 12-15nc of your 20nc for the first two weeks.The Atkins product for some,can cause weight loss to stall.Make sure you are drinking your required water,especially if you are working out.Based on my own experience with Induction,I did not achieve the results I was hoping for because I did not keep a clean Induction.You are early in the program to turn this around.Good Luck!

Thanks tewey! Yes, I am struggling to get more veggies in my diet, I have been adding some slowly (yesterday was bad because I was at college for 9 hours). I am off the shakes, I have read that they do cause some people to stall (guess I am one of the unfortunate ones, cuz they are yummy!) haha. Thanks for the support!

I will say,the shake or bar will be a better substitute than not eating anything at all for such a long period.In your case,you may want to add a small amount of nuts on days you have school to carry you over.This is acceptable on Induction,in certain cases,as long as it doesn't create too much of an inbalance.I buy the snack packs of nuts,they are already measured,grab and go.In your case,I would stick to an ounce portion.I think one pack is 1/4 cup serving,save the other half for another day.Keep the nuts in the freezer they last longer.

okay awesome! i pack lots of meats in my lunch box (chicken thighs, tuna salad, steak, and a pickle) I will have to put in some fresh broccoli and stuff as well. I think i can get it up. I only go to school 2 days a week and that is over next week for the summer! YAY! So, it isn't too big of a deal... just getting used to things being so early in the diet. Thanks for the ideas! How long have you been on Atkins?

This is my second time around.Last year I did well,breezed through Induction and did well on OWL and then I just fell into old ways.I'm into five weeks now,and I'm really focusing on taking it slow so I can really make it work long term this time.So,any advice that I can pass along is only from past mistakes that I made and hopefuly learn from my own advice.Honestly,it gets easier after the first two weeks.I'm loving OWL :}
