SMALLVILLE's Journal, 10 Jun 07

Good Morning,
I just got up, but I could have slept a little longer.Maddi -our youngest Boxer- has a internel alarm clock that goes off each day around 2 p.m. -I work nights 6p-6a- and she lets out one bark about every 5 mins. untill you get up so she can go play outside.
So, after letting our pack out to play I put in a pan of Chickpeas to roast with a little Creole Spice and I'm getting ready to eat breakfast.I going to roast a Turky Breast for dinner. The rest of my meals are in the air right now.
After breakfast I 'm going for my 30 min. walk then it's ready for work time.
Tomorrow is the big first week weigh in day -fingers crossed.-
I also add 5 mins to my walk time and weights at the gym -fingers double crossed.-

Wow...someone else who works "Mids"! Me too. What is your most difficult time of the night for eating? I have found that around 2-3 a.m. I am very hungry but I don't want to eat because I will be going to sleep soon (or later). I am 40 also and started at 223 on March 19. I'm down to 189 today. I've been running my butt off on the treadmill and been sticking to phase one pretty closely with some exceptions. I have always struggled with my weight and this is the most success I have had. I am determined to keep it off this time. It helps that my wife is on the same plan.

MSUBBART, Way to go on the weight loss!!! I've been yo-yoing most of my life, but like you; I'm determined to keep it off as well. I think when you turn forty you should get a handbook of what to expect and a warning of things to fall!! I've the worst time about the same time as you.I could chew on my desk. I just started last Monday 6/4/07 and my weigh in day is tomorrow -my fingers are crossed- I'm doing this by myself. That's how I found this site. I would really like to see how you do, so keep in touch if you mind.It really helps to have a sounding board that sounds back.

Glad to hear back from you! My wife and I are working together this time. I live in Michigan and have always used the excuse that it was to cold to go outside and run....well my wife got a treadmill so I didn't have an excuse anymore. I thought I would hate it... I am now a addict. It has always been a goal to run a 5K. Yesterday I ran 4 miles for the first time ever. I don't know how much cardio you are doing but it has made all the difference in the world for me! I just have to find the time. But you know what...If I can sit my ass in front of the t.v. for a hour than I can certainly find time to run. In the past I used to lift weights while I was dieting. This time I am skipping the weights until I lose the weight I want. It seems to be working. Keep up the good work and chat back with me later.
