Birthday Girl's Journal, 13 Apr 16

I am very discouraged because I have gained weight not lost. My problem I think is not what I eat,but the amount. I'm eating too much too often. It seems as though I'm always hungry. The foods I eat don't seem to fill me up nor stay with me. I'd love some advice on how to feel full and happy. I exercise regularly and drink plenty of water.

What are you eating? How long have you been dieting? I'm always hungry for the first couple of weeks. Your body will get used to it eventually. Try to eat foods that are filling. I enjoy snacking on almonds, carrots, and hummus. They seem to keep me full for longer.

Last year I used Nutri System and lost 26 pounds and have managed to keep it off. However, I want to lose at least another 25 and tried Nitri System again, but can't stay with it. I am now trying to go on my own, but it is not working.

Following serving size literally instead of eyeballing or eating until you no longer feel hungry. Portion control was one of the hardest things for me to get a hold on throughout all of my years of dieting but once I started measuring so I had a concrete visual of how much of each (type of) food it became easier for me to lose weight without feeling starved. I now can barely eat "full" servings. My body doesn't crave the full feeling anymore, just not being hungry. You can do it, without nutri-system, Jenny Craig, w.w. our any of those, what I consider to be, gimmicks. If you need a buddy, I'm here for you!! :)
