RobHendershot's Journal, 31 Jan 24

Woke up not well this morning, so no extra walking today and probably no food diary as well, but that doesn’t matter anyway no one is seeing any of it anyway. I don’t even know why this really matters anymore, not seeing great numbers from doing the things to be dropping huge numbers. Anyway enough of my rant, I’ll give it till Friday and if I don’t see a drop again Friday, I’m done.

You are wrong. people see it, and it does matter. Right now, you don't know why you aren't losing. You're not aware of what you're eating. by logging, YOU can analyze what is working and what isn't. this isn't Facebook. most of us log for ourselves and sometimes get helpful comments. sometimes not. Do this for yourself, and you will succeed. I've been on this site for years! it takes time to get in your groove. don't give up.

also, I hope you feel better soon. I can go days without commenting. I get busy and such. That's why you need to do this for you. people come and go in their busy lives. hang in there.

Listen to Jenjabba, she it right on. Eating right and exercise isn't all about weight loss. It involves attaining and maintaining good health.

I agree with Jenjabba, too. Most of us have a larger loss the first week or so, then it's slow & steady for the duration. Some weeks may show no loss or even a gain 😐 To be successful you have to sign on to the fact this is a lifetime change. When you stick with it you'll see results.

hang in there better days are coming. I have lost over 50 lbs but 13 more to go. It has taken 2 years but it has been worth it.

It looks like you've lost 13 lbs this month. I'd call that a success, and if your body maintains its current weight for a week, I'd also call that success. Give it more than a week, good health is a long journey, it's an investment. Stick with your plan over the long run and you'll reap dividends.

@jenjabba, thanks and I know it’s not Facebook. But there are some that use this app like it. But I’m doing this for me and I’m not going anywhere as of right now. I think I’ve been logging what I eat correctly but when I came here it was from a friend of mine and really wasn’t shown how to use it correctly

Thanks all who’s commented and supported me and it’s been a bad morning and I’ve let my mind play tricks on me and I’m going to get better and do this journey with all of you. The last two days have stressed me out a bit.

when you don't see the scale moving down, it can be your body repairing itself inside. just keep at it!

Hi . Plateauing sucks. Don’t give up. You’ve put your heart soul into it. You’ll regret it. Body is like a computer. It’s readjusting from the weight you’ve lost. Hang in there!

@stucazzo1, that’s what I was concerned about plateauing in the second week. I’ve also heard that the second week off dieting sucks but never experienced anything like it myself. But thanks for the encouragement and kind words.
