Hi everyone!

I just started the GI Diet and I'm excited! I've been struggling with my weight for awhile. The biggest problem for me? A boyfriend that can cook! We both LOVE food, and love to make anything that we crave... big problem! In the 6 months I've been dating him I gained 25lbs, he's gained too so we're working at this together!

I'm in charge of the food planning, getting us to eat more veggies and stay the heck away from those rich rich sauces that we like to endulge in.

He's in charge of getting us motivated to excercise, now that winters just about over we can enjoy the use of the beautiful park that is across the street from us. He's going to teach me how to properly jog and I'm hoping at the same time I will finally put my foot down and quit smoking as well!

So far, the only problem I've been struggling with (in the 1 day heh) is the munchie hungers! We both just eat when we feel hungry, and if we're not, and there is food in front of us, we'll eat it anyway! Gonna go shopping today and find me a bunch of veggie snacks to cart with me everywhere. Carrots and celery are good, but boring... any other alternatives out there?

Keep a bottle of water with you all the time. Drink drink drink! It will help keep you feeling full and help keep snack attacks at bay! Boring, yeah. But it does help! Good luck!!

Oh I've been chuggin the water like crazy. I'm a religious coffee drinker, and that has to stop! So water's been replacing it. mm water... ;) (coffee withdrawal headaches suck)
