GGRRRR...Advice needed!! Still on the plateau with a pound or 2 of water weight, I am eating more because I was starving myself, I should do a better job of tracking it...I am going to try switching up my workout routine with more cardio less toning next week, and maybe throw in a lunch time workout:( Since I work out @ 5 in the morning and then sit all day @ work and then school at nite till 9 3 days a week, I am hitting a wall with available time...there just is not enough. Must I sacrifice the growth of my butt to the growth of my mind???

Don't starve yourself that actually hurts your weight loss efforts more than helping it. When you don't eat your cells will store more fat the next time you eat. Talk with your professors and ask them if you can snack in class. I do and the only class I can't snack in is my Bio Lab class b/c of all the chemicals. When they say yea or nea then you snack in the classes that let you. Take some seeds and nuts if you are not allergic, or cut up fruit & veggies (not the ones that are loud like celery.) Drink plenty of water no soda it will make you even more hungry, and don't chew gum either it activates the hormone in your body that tells you you're hungry. Ask your boss if you can have small snacks at your desk and go for healthy foods not crackers or candy they will not hold you over. If not then demand a 15 min break every 2 to 3 hrs (in my state it is mandatory employers schedule them for full time employees.) For a lunch work out take hand held or Velcro weights and after you eat your lunch take 15 min to do a simple burst work out. 3 sets of 3 different workouts for 1 min on and off each. When you do the set go as fast as you can then slow down but keep moving. Make sure that you bring your heart rate up and then gradually bring it down. If you can do some yoga at your desk or stretches. You can also wear your weights on your legs if you walk around an office frequently. You can do it remember that people plateau often you just have to switch it up or step it up.

A plateau is when you stay the same for weeks on end. Staying the same weight for a week is very normal. Many people do and then drop a few pounds. When your body goes from eating less to eating more, it takes time for your metabolism to get better. Make sure your getting plenty of protein, fruits and veggies. The processed stuff can slow down weight loss and keep the water weight on with it's sodium content. Drink plenty of water. Switching up exercise can also cause our bodies to temporarily gain water which can show on the scale as no loss or even a temporary gain. I know it's hard, but try to think of the big picture. Look at how your clothes are fitting. It can take a lot of time and hard work to get our bodies where we want them to be. Keep going.
