2 pounds UP! it happened again .. I had dinner with friends last night and could stick quite well to the rules of phase 1 , but when I came home I had no inhibitions and ate mm's (choc peanuts) , applepie, sips of left over smoothie...few pretsels. (All after each other very fast just before going to bed). Really interesting to observe myself how I react to just a bit of temptation after eating "wrong carb". I guess this is all part of the learnung curve for me. My good intention is next time -when I return from eating out of the house- to come home and first of all brush my teeth...

Nacho, just get rid of all that stuff! You just have to get rid of it all! Give it away to someone who isn't on a diet!

Good job at observing yourself, it will be the key in helping you break bad habits. Those two pounds are not a problem, watch yourself a bit today and you will be back on the path. Good luck Nacho! :-)

Fraise . You are really right ,,,I know I shouldn't buy the applepie (but it was desert for my children.. who LOVE it ) and the mm's are leftover from EASTER (We put them in those plastic eastereggs )I find it difficult to toss those because they are a not the worst candy for children because they contain (healthy) nuts and only a bit of choc.. I usually can resist them -only with this diet - a sidestep with dinner out of the house- can cathalize (how do you spell that?) me into a sudden uncontrollable binge. I am learning..

It must be very difficult with kids who love sweets. I know that I would cave in eventually with M&Ms in the house. Maybe you should get rid of a big bag and get a pack of the little serving size bags FOR THE KIDS. That way you'll be saved from the agony.

You're right : small size packets! Maybe I should also only buy candy I! do not like.. It's so automatic that as a mom you want to share the things you like with your kids. (like mm's + applepie). FOrgot to tell you BTW that we are in the candy business... (licorice) but it is not to difficicult to resist that.
