Today was hard! Atkins induction phase makes me weak.My poor body was screaming for CARBS , however im determined to make this work again like it did in year 2000, so i wont give in.

Couldnt exercise today cuz i felt too weak, plus i hardly got sleep last night as i was too damn hungry to fall asleep.Good news is my work clothes somehow felt a LITTLE loser today:)Yeah me:)

Does anyone have any suggestions for snacks apart from nuts on Atkins induction phase?

The first 3 days were the hardest for me. I was in carb withdrawals and it was awful. It gets better - I promise!!! You will find you aren't craving snacks after being on induction for a couple of weeks. If you feel hungry - eat protein and green veggies. I keep string cheese handy as well as pork rinds. Hang in there!!!

Nuts aren't allowed on the induction phase, for that matter neither are bananas (according to your diet calendar). Fruit will keep you out of ketosis for sure. Cheese, hard-boiled eggs, any kind of cubed deli meat (watch out for preservatives), veggies with ranch dip, cubed avocado, olives... I cannot stress enough the importance of reading Dr. Atkins' book. It does get better, but if you don't cut out high-carb fruits your cravings won't go away. Good luck!
