Yes, that is a lot of gardening. I am redesigning the whole thing to make it square and easier for John to mow. Yesterday I did the typical family spike. In the morning, I was thrilled to see the end of one section in sight - I was going to be able to finish ripping up all the grass along the front 70 feet of brick edging and put down mulch to make the edge look real nice. At lunch time in the major heat, I was still in high mode and I ripped out the rest of the grass. (My right hand is so sore I can't close it today.) After that I was thrilled, but started to crash because I could tell I wouldn't be able to finish the mulch that day. By the afternoon, I really crashed because the new water pump we got had broken. John figured out how to fix it, but it took over an hour and then thunder made me come in. I wanted so much to have the front edge done, but no dice. Now, I am taking two days off to adjust my attitude and let my hand heal. Then I will probably go back to being crazed again. There is still a huge amount of stuff to do, but I am glad for it because it is wonderful exercise and I love it (except when I'm crashing). I'm aiming for a 500 calorie split between food and exercise by the end of the month. Without all the yard work, I would never make it.
