I've had strep since Dec. 30, and there have been quite a few nights I've used Nyquil multiple times overnight, and quite a few nights during which I sucked a cough drop all night long, at 10 calories apiece, all from sugar. I also noticed that evenings that we have something either starchy or sweet (potatoes, or desert, or rice) in our eating window, I don't show a weight loss the next day. Still, I have lost 5 lbs overall since beginning the plan on 12-26, so I'm still well within the expected 1-lb-per-week average. Hopefully next week I'll have kicked this illness and will be able to get off all the cold-and-flu meds. I've also noticed that apparently my vitamin B-6 makes me nauseous, at least on an empty stomach.
