Got up at 8 today after a nice sleep. It is good to have wife and daughter back. Mind is at ease I suppose.
Weighed in at 228.8, and then saddled up for a walk outside. It is a beautiful day here, the wind direction was great for my walk (off the bay), and the smells were contained to the roadways. It is 77F right now outside, supposed to be sunny and 80 today.
I walked 4.3 miles in an hour and a half
Workout Here. The pace was slow, but it is pretty hot out. I accidentally walked into a road race/walk-athon thing for Autism. I saw the crowds at the new park across the bridge I walk over. Then on the way back I saw the shotgun start. It was amusing to me, as half the runners took off one way, and half took off another. Seems the course was not marked or communicated well. Many of the runners looked very confused, and I am sure it was not much fun for them. Anyway, it added interest to my walk as there was plenty of people around and running by. I even had people cheering me on, which was nice. lol
I use camelbak's to stay hydrated out here. And now I am up to a full mini backpack thing that is 3 liters, or 100 Ozs. It holds plenty of water for walks like today, or 7 mile bike rides. Although, when it is hot, I can still easily run out. I cannot imagine going out without it. Sometimes on my walks I take 1.5 liters of water in a bottle, and it barely lets me get 2 miles. Once last summer, I ran out of water and pushed it way too hard (5 miles), and my hands swelled up and I was dizzy when I got home. It was around 100 degrees that day. I need to be careful from that.
Today is the beginning of my weekend. Wife is on crazy sleep schedule, and is sleeping now. She was up well before 5AM. Jet lag does wild things to you I suppose, so I am just laying low and logging here. Then some schoolwork...
