Yesterday I managed to come back on track with my dieting again. I strickly followed the diabetic diet my doctor advised me to do, so the result is clear: 0.5kg loss in a day is not so bad and sth I can't ask for more. My bold plan is to lose about 10-15kg by the end of June, as I'm going back for a medical check-up and a blood sugar test. So, I do hope I'll be progressing well. It goes without saying, I'll be taking the meds during this period, 'cos otherwise I'll have no chance to lose the desired weight. Sadly, though.

I tried following the recommended American Diabetes Association diet and my lipid profile did great but my glucose control was awful! I started an LCHF diet March 8th of this year and my glucose and blood pressure is doing great. I am off fast acting sliding scale insulin totally (by 3rd day on this way of eating), my slow acting insulin was cut in half a few weeks later, then followed by a 500 mg reduction in metformin, and about 4-5 weeks in one of my 3 blood pressure meds was cut in half. I am scheduled to have my next blood work done on June 20th and I want to see how LCHF/keto diet has affected my lipid panel...I already can see it has improved my diabetes (my old fasting numbers before LCHF was 180-225 now they fall between 70's-90's my old A1c in March was 8.2 and I am anxious to see how much it has dropped.
This was my readings this morning: Monday, May 1, 2017, FBS(fasting blood sugar) @ 3:30 a.m. 91, B/P(blood pressure) 108/68, P(pulse) 80, Day #55 of this WOE(way of eating)
