Tina Denton Wingate's Journal, 07 Jul 16

Started over today after an extremely rough almost year.
Lost a grandchild, my job, and my diet and my sense of humor....
Developed plantar faciitis and am having trouble walking now....so I may join a gym and possibly be able to do some sort of excercise.
All I can do is move upwards from here....and hopefully not on the scale.

Ok...sense of humor is still there.

lost a grandchild? I'm so sorry for your loss!.. it has been a rough year... as for your foot... stretching your legs, yoga.. arch support and a cream called penitrex from amazon.... mine is healed because of this process. I hope things get better for you

Hugs. So sorry about your losses. I have had problems with Plantar Faciitis in the past and exercise does help along with a good pair of orthotics in a good pair of shoes. When it got super bad I would get corticosteroid injections in the heel. Get rid of the heels and flat slippers with no support. They only aggravate the problem. I remember hobbling around for about 45 mins in the morning because of the pain. I do admire you for having a good sense of humor after all you have been through. Hugs.

Sorry for the rough yr Tina. At 69 now it seems like soon as you think you are through one thing, here comes another, uggh! I too suffered with plantar facilitis and used a frozen bottle of water to roll back & forth 15 mins daily, along with stretching really helped, not to mention CVS (blue) Menthol Rub. Good Luck! Hope things get better, too!

I too have suffered from plantar fasciitis. Ditto on the previous suggestions, but I also found relief with Crocs (yes the horribly ugly shoes) and Hoka tennis shoes for the gym. The only shoes I could wear for a year or so... good luck!

@LG1.........Oh, that frozen bottle of water is a good idea. I just used a rolling pin. @Amy......LOL, they are ugly, BUT when you are hurting you will wear whatever helps.
