restart - the more active i am the the more i feel the need to eat. but the big issue the more active i am the more i justify cheating even if the scale is moving in the opposite direction. oh well live and learn and this is just another new restart blog. I am committed to try (i guess i do or dont there is no try)a new 2 week clean session. no coffee, no pop, no sweetners, just water and a measuring cup full of veggies maybe tea (gotta look into tea and see if black tea (earl grey) is good. a few spices no soya or shiracha or chili garlic sauces). Its gonna be hard to limit my veggies and not use soya or those hot sauces and not have a sweet creamy coffee. I know that weight loss is more about what you eat and not how much you move, but more movement helps the body deal with the weight loss and overall general health improvements. I am committing to practice kihon and general stretching and strengthening exercise every day. we will see what happens after 2 weeks.

I'm like you - I often justify eating because I exercised, but not this time! I'm just trying to get a few more steps into my daily routine by parking farther from the door at work and going up and down the stairs more frequently. Just an observation but often a touch of spice or the unami of a flavour such such as soy sauce will help you with your cravings. I find the nice bite of spice in siracha helps me cope with what I'm (trying) not to eat! I, too, am limiting my pop consumption but not my tea. I have over 40 flavours of tea - black, green, white, rooibos, and herbal/fruit teas. The only one I put anything into is my black morning breakfast tea. I figure the 1 tsp of local honey and 2 oz of skim milk are a good compromise. I like different flavours of tea for different times of the day. I find Teaopia, Davids' Tea and Steeped Tea usually have lots of samples for you to try.
