Lokidixon's Journal, 09 Dec 15

A pound in the right direction -- and more importantly, I _feel_ better today... physically and mentally. I woke without that "there's a small dog crammed inside my stomach" feeling. Feel like I've turned a corner. Not the final corner -- I still have a few more -- but I'm happy and feeling in control once again. Hope you're all having a good week!

Great job Loki !!! Love to hear that "fighting" tone in your "voice" again. It is a battle (sometimes easy and sometimes hard), to eat the right food and quantities, and then have the energy to put in needed exercise. Keep it up, I'll try to do the same!

Thanks, Steven! With many health issues, I think we're split into various mental types, two big ones being the patient, go-with-the-flow mentality, which I respect but can't adopt, and the this-is-a-fight mentality, which is square in my wheelhouse. I often think of weight issues, eating behaviors, discipline, temptation, etc..., in terms of a fight -- "my cravings have me up against the ropes" or "I'm going to keep my guard up," stuff like that -- but I don't know that I was ever conscious of those habits until you posted this comment. *Shrugs* Maybe I can use this awareness to actually help my consistency and success. Hope your own fight -- or journey -- is going well, my friend.
