This past weekend was a big event at my job that basically lasted (for staff) from Thursday through Sunday and I pretty much slept all day Monday. I got in steps, but I was pretty much in one area for Friday and Saturday and it was an "eat what you can get" type of deal. I had some family issues pop up that Im trying to work through so I didnt take the time to prepare food to take with me. I think I had 3 different pizzas on Friday, 4 different for the whole weekend plus many beers in the evenings. Saturday night I managed to grab a salad and I could feel my body sighing with relief haha. Needless to say, Im surprised that Im down a little today.
Running Update: I went for a run on Wednesday before the chaos all started and instantly my calves felt like someone blew up a balloon inside my skin. It was weird and it wasnt a good feeling run although I did what I could. I plan to go today after I run a roller over my legs. ALSO, what I thought was a 5k is actually a 5 MILE run at the completion of the run club and Im pretty sure that theres no way Ill survive that. Im not going to stop trying though. Im actually enjoying the process and its helping me get back into taking care of myself - which was the goal.
