Aside from calories and exercise, sleep and stress management also have a huge influence over weight loss and optimal results from exercise. Make sure you are resting and proactively de-stressing. Self-care goes a long way to reaching your health goals 💐

Thank you for this, I have central sleep apnea (not the obstructive one) so I do struggle with getting a good night's sleep and I've been struggling to fall asleep lately. So you're spot on with the sleep. Will try to manage my stress better too.

It's especially tough to focus on weight loss when it's hampered by other medical challenges, which means you need to go extra gentle on yourself. It's very overused advice, but perhaps for the value of its positive results - meditation and journalling are POWERFUL tools to support the physical changes. All the best to you 💫

I've followed almost every fad diet known to man. I lost 30kg on keto, gained back more than I lost. My poor body was so confused about what I wanted it to do. My take on this whole dietary shenanigans is... find an eating plan. One that has variety and is a life-long way of living. https://www.eatingwell.com/article/291347/simple-30-day-weight-loss-meal-plan-1200-calories/ I am seeing results although still settling into it (3kg in 2 weeks). My daughter showed me what has been her secret and it's budget friendly

Try to weigh in once a week, in the morning and after a good 7-8 hour sleep. This way you will get a better overview. Somedays your body retains a little water and this could be for a multitude of reasons / scenarios. Use a tape measure and measure once a month, you may get a better picture of where you are in your journey. Small steps and you control the narrative. Cheers, have a good one.
