For two weeks, at least 5 days per week, I burn at least 400 kcal on treadmill at 3mph-4mph walking, with around 3% incline. In addition, I am restricting my caloric intake to 2,000 to 2,400 kcal per day since this past Sunday, 10/4/09. This means that my net caloric intake is around 1600 to 2000 Calories per day. At my previous sedentary level, I needed 2600 Calories a day to maintain, so I'm creating a net -1000 to -600 Calories a day, giving me (hopefully) -1 to -2 lbs per week. I want to maintain this level of weight loss at least until the end of December so that I can be around 210 lbs. After that, I want to maintain around a -0.5 to -1 lb weight loss per week until I reach 175 lbs, where my BMI will be around 26... much better than the current 34!
I also try to get my calories from many different places - carbs, fats, lean proteins & green leafy veggies & fruits are included too!
