I do go to the gym 3-4 days a week, but on days I choose not to after a 12-13 hour work day I will do things like squats and a few minutes with my dumbbells at home for arms/chest/back and take the dog for a 3/4-1 mile walk. The dogs always want to go even when I don’t. My weight loss has been fairly slow with several plateau’s. One thing that I do in addition to the weighing in is measurements. During one of my weight plateaus the spring I actually lost almost 2 inches off my hips, even though my weight didn’t move for several weeks. A big non-scale victory. I have found that my plateaus are shorter if I continue to do strength training in addition to maintaining a healthy eating pattern. It is hard. My husband who is very supportive has no trouble maintaining his healthy weight while sometimes I swear that I gain weight just by smelling food. Try to be kind to yourself that can be harder than losing weight or exercising.
