Hey there. That’s a very brave shout out and certainly one from the heart. You have actually answered your own question. No amount of money will buy you help to tackle your weight gain because it’s not about that. Before you can achieve anything in life you need to believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who will support you. Are you under a lot of stress? Do you have trouble expressing your emotions? Are you suppressing fears? Comfort eating happens when we feel we have no control in our lives. Do you have a doctor? Make an appointment, write down what you want to achieve and ask for help. You may get information about other sources of support while you’re there too. Good luck with the next step. Make that choice to get help. You are a STRONGER person by reaching out ❤️

knowing what we "should" do and being able to do it are 2 different things. I don't have the answer. It's one day at a time. And if day 1 doesn't work don't give up on day 2. I eat emotionally and so need those emotions in check for it to work. I also need patterns to stick to so if that is you work out a reasonable calorie count that won't have you feeling overly hungry and work out what you can eat when ( I need snacks) and just to try to stick to it. Little and often meant I could look forward to eating something soon.

Try looking if there are any social prescribing services in your area and contact them. Maybe they could suggest where to turn for help that you don't need to pay for..
just a thought..

Look up the lion diet Mikhaila Peterson. literally requires no effort, you will lose weight. It is tough mentally first 4 weeks, but no measuring 1 to 2 meals a day.
Beef, lamb, salt and water.
If is not 1 of those things it does not come into the house. Makes things extremely simple.
Hope that helps.

I can just share my experience. I stopped relying on my mind when eating as always ended up with +5kgs. And finally got 114kgs along with depression. First six months - LCHF with no more than 1900ckal/day in combination with daily 30min home exercises (Jillian Michaels app) because I hate visiting gyms. When I lost 20 kg and became strong enough to go further, I switched to low fat diet with at least 1.3g/kg of protein with same amount of calories to start to build muscles. Sometimes weight stood at the same level for weeks or even rose up despite counting calories. This was very dismotivating but I photographed myself every two weeks and saw my progress. I’m still on my way to normal weight but now feel myself really more confident. I’m also in contact with my GP in terms of depression. Hope you will find your own way and will achieve your goals! Good luck.

I don’t know it this will help, when I started out I planned all my meals and snacks in advance, for a week at a time, after calculating the number of calories I was allowed to have in a day based on the very small amount of exercise I was able to get, and made sure that I didn’t keep any extra food around the house, unless it was fruit or vegetables. It took away the opportunity for me to snack, unless it was on something healthy. It reduced the pressure to eat as well, since I knew I couldn’t really. I hope this helps!

Sorry to hear of your troubles. My heat goes out to you.Try to stick with it. One thing I think that I have always struggled with myself is my weight and hating what I look like.
I am an emotional eater and been fat all my life. I finally realised this recently. Things I fount that helped were portion size and fasting. I do hope this helps

I'm no one to give advice, I binge, all the time but I'm ready I think to start a new chapter n lose some, I think the weight I wanted to be was over ambitious, so 1lbs not stones, there is a lot on the Internet maybe we could both start there, hands up I'm lazy when it comes to the gym but I walk 15,000 plus steps a day other wise I'd prob be lot bigger, keep coming onto fs and we can do it together good luck hun xxx
