How to start loosing weight?

Firstly You need to know what actually you goal is, whether your goal is to loose weight, loose fat or build muscle. Coz these are the different things in terms of weight gain/loose.

If your goal is to loose weight you got to be in a consistent calorie deficit regardless of what you eat. You can 100% loose weight eating vada pav and waffles. You can loose weight eating salads and exotic vegetables. In a pure weight loss goals what you eat is very very less significant to how much(calories) you eat.

If your goal is to loose fat then you need to be in a consistent calorie deficit while hitting your proteins on a regular basis. That will increase the chances of loosing more fat and keep more muscle in your body. Remember that loosing weight means loosing both fat and muscle but there is a ratio of loosing both. This way you can preserve more muscle.

To build muscle you need to be in a slight surplus of 100-200 calories, hitting you protein daily and doing resistance training on regular basis. Its a long long long journey of 5-7 years.

At last patience and consistency is the key, what you do most of the time will outweigh what u do less of the times.
