Went exploring weekend to Astoria, OR. Can't resist any kind of seafood, especially fresh shellfish from the Northwest. Big no-no's though was not the seafood...it was the garlic bread that came with!!! Also, mom's cooking is irresistible. Her sparerib soup is an original from Okinawa that she has been cooking for me since I can remember. Sometimes I feel like she want to sabotage my diet... but I know she is just being a dutiful mom.
